The Tribunal is chaired by the Honourable Luc Martineau. Justice Martineau was one of the inaugural members of the Tribunal. He was appointed Chair on June 18, 2010.

The term of office of the inaugural members of the Tribunal expired on June 27, 2010. New members are expected to be appointed in the near future.

Biography

The Honourable Luc Martineau
Justice Martineau received a Licence in Civil Law in 1977 and a Master's Degree in Public Law in 1985 from the University of Ottawa. He was called to the Quebec bar in 1978. He served as Legal Counsel to the Canada Labour Relations Board from 1979 to 1981, was associate and partner at the law firm Robert, Dansereau, Barré, Marchessault & Lauzon in Montreal from 1981‑1990, and then partner at Langlois Robert in Montreal from 1990‑1996. Justice Martineau established a firm and practised as lawyer, arbitrator and mediator in Montreal from 1996 to 2002. He was appointed Judge of the Federal Court, Trial Division and ex officio member of the Court of Appeal on January 25, 2002 and Judge of the Court Martial Appeal Court of Canada on April 18, 2002. He was appointed member of the Public Servants Disclosure Protection Tribunal on June 27, 2007. He is Chair of the Tribunal since June 18, 2010.
